Gardening Goes Underground

Arlinda will be teaching a BOCES gardening class on Saturday, March 7, from 9 to noon, at the BOCES Education Center in Pinedale.  The registration fee is $10 for the class , entitled, "Gardening Goes Underground."

I will take you back to the early days of gardening in Pinedale when most folks had  inground garden beds filled with carrots, beets, turnips, and potatoes.  Besides taking you back to the olden days, I will share ideas on how to garden in the new corrugated metal raised beds,  suggest some good potting mixtures and fertilizers, and will offer sage advice on how to grow carrots, beets, turnips, potatoes, onions, garlic, kohlrabi, rutabagas, and other root vegetables in Sublette County.
